Street Report was born after students Andrew Harris and Hanna Martin met for a University group project and discussed the lack of creativity in modern-day newspapers.
Street Report is an independent and alternative news portal that brings a solution for young people who enjoy interactive content. Our company is founded under the values of transparency, moral responsibility, and truthfulness, which also characterize who we are as individuals.
We are firm believers that information should be made accessible and enjoyable to all, which led us to innovate by creating a news company that is out of the ordinary.
Our crew of journalists came together to think outside the box and come up with a different perspective on how to tell news stories. We established our main goal to be evoking emotion and causing the audience to question the big events that happen around them.
Our team decided we wanted to leave a print on our readers by inspiring them to take action. Giving out the information is easy, but impacting the viewer is what we want to achieve with Street Report.
Andrew Harris
My name is Andrew Harris, and I am the co-founder and lead writer in Street Report. I am a major in Creative Writing, which is the reason behind the creation of Street Report. I met Hanna in one of our journalism courses. We agreed that the industry was in need of a new business proposal that was more modern. We started working on designing a strategy that revolutionized the way we inform ourselves but also the way we present the information to readers. That’s how our university project became a full-time job.
Hanna Martin
I am Hanna Martin. I am 27 years old, and I’m a co-founder and editor in Street Report. All my life, I had wanted to work in this industry, carrying out projects that changed the way the audience viewed journalism. I knew I wanted to build a company that allowed me to connect closely with people; create a humane brand. After talking to Andrew for a few weeks, I realized he would be a strong link in my chain. In between conversations, we came up with the business idea, and it has been great working together. I’m looking forward to growing our team even more and improving our company.
